美國務助卿訪烏克蘭獨立廣場

美國駐烏克蘭大使館發言人指出，美國國務院助理國務卿盧嵐(Victoria Nuland)，今天(11日)前往烏克蘭首都基輔(Kiev)市中心的獨立廣場(Independence Square)，探視在當地示威的民眾。

烏克蘭反對派領袖表示，盧嵐曾向示威民眾講話。

美國使館發言人表示，盧嵐探視了獨立廣場，而獨立廣場還有好幾千名示威民眾集結，要求總統亞努科維奇(Viktor Yanukovich)下台。

烏克蘭原本要在11月下旬，在立陶宛首都維爾紐斯的高峰會中，和歐盟簽署政治和自由貿易協定，開始烏克蘭進加入歐盟的程序；但是烏克蘭總統亞努科維奇在莫斯科的壓力之下，臨時拒絕簽署協定，不但招來歐盟的指責，也引發烏克蘭內部的大規模示威。
