羅啟銳應該也是台灣觀眾比較陌生的導演，他和香港知名女導演張婉婷是一對情侶，兩人自組公司合拍許多具有香港本土情懷和文藝氣質的電影。二人作品多數以愛情、感性及愛為題，背景則穿越古今，涉獵題材由香港輻射至兩岸三地，兩人分擔監製導演與編劇等工作，1988年的「七小福」其實是羅啟銳的第一部執導作品，該片改編自香港京劇大師于占元的傳記，勇奪當年金馬獎六項大獎。最近的作品是2010年的「歲月神偷」，也是描述香港早期中低階層家庭的故事，反映當時香港人面對環境改變的心境。榮獲第25屆金馬獎最佳導演七小福 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwo6NbwklhA
