OPCW：摧毀敘化武 明年1月開始作業

禁止化學武器組織(OPCW)秘書長尤祖姆居(Ahmet Uzumcu)今天(10日)表示，摧毀敘利亞化學武器的作業，可能從明年1月下旬展開。

尤祖姆居表示，他們希望，在明年1月底以前，在美國船艦上摧毀敘利亞化武的作業可以啟動。

敘利亞化學將在美國海事管理局(Maritime Administration)的艦艇「光芒角號」(MV Cape Ray)上摧毀。這是1艘長200公尺的海軍貨輪。

尤祖姆居表示，摧毀敘利亞化武的作業，事實上相當依賴敘利亞的安全情勢；不幸的是，過去幾個星期來，敘利亞的安全情勢持續惡化，有些道路根本不堪使用。

尤祖姆居是在挪威首都奧斯陸(Oslo)，出席諾貝爾和平獎頒獎典禮之前，作出以上表示。禁止化武組織是去年的和平獎得主。
