波士頓發生爆炸案後，當地手機通訊變得相當困難。如果有網路，就可以透過Google的Person Finder服務找人！

Google的Person Finder尋人服務上線已久，在波士頓馬拉松賽傳出爆炸案後，Google立刻新增「波士頓馬拉松爆炸」（Boston Marathon Explosions）專區，民眾可透過該專區尋找親友，以及人在波士頓的失聯者。而正在波士頓的人如無法透過電話與外界聯繫，則可透過網路上傳資訊。

民眾可透過該頁面找人(I’m looking for someone)，或是輸入個人資訊提供尋找(I have information about someone)。只要輸入名字，如無全名也可，就可從資料庫內4800筆條目，找出符合條件的人。當然，也可以上傳照片等個人資訊，讓其他人檢索。這項服務在南亞大海嘯、福島核災等重大天災都曾派上用場，現在，這個服務預料將可幫助更多人。
