《國際政治》含蓖麻毒素，美參院攔截致命郵件

【時報-記者柯婉琇綜合外電報導】美國參議院周二宣布，該機關郵件處理部門收到蓖麻毒素測試結果呈陽性的郵件，該部門未來三天將暫時關閉。該封寄給參議員Roger Wicker華府辦公室的信件，是發自田納西州曼菲斯(Memphis)，但未註明寄信人地址。

密蘇里州參議員Claire McCaskill表示，調查人員已經從郵件中辨認出一位嫌疑人，此人寫信給很多參議員。參議院侍衛長Terrance Gainer表示，尚無跡象顯示還有其他可疑信件。

含有致命蓖麻毒素的信件與波士頓爆炸案之間是否有所關連，目前尚不清楚。

在2001年911恐怖攻擊事件發生後不久，數家媒體與政府機關，包括兩名參議員，先後都收到含炭疽熱毒素的郵件，這場生化恐怖攻擊共奪走5條人命。
