華府稱監控通訊令20多國避過恐襲陰謀

美國情報部門表示，國家安全局監控電話通訊和互聯網，成功阻止恐怖份子在美國及全球20多個國家發動襲擊，包括09年襲擊紐約地鐵的陰謀。

美國當局向國會提交的文件指出，去年的監控行動，涉及數以百萬計電話通訊，但當中只有不足300個電話號碼，受到詳細調查。

情報部門官員又說，法院每隔90日，就會檢討國安局的監控計劃一次，取得的數據會在五年後銷毀。
