Catcher reportedly to exclusively supply metal-alloy chassis for use in HTC M4

Catcher Technology will reportedly become an exclusive supplier of metal-alloy chassis for use in HTC's M4 smartphone, a revision of its New HTC One, with shipments of M4 to begin in June and an estimated 700,000 units to be shipped in the second quarter, according to sources from the upstream supply chain.

However, Catcher declined to comment about its orders or clients.

To prevent component shortage issues from happening again, HTC has decided to give its chassis orders solely to Catcher and the strategy is expected to benefit Catcher's second-quarter performance.

Catcher is expected to see its revenues grow 10.58-14.87% sequentially to NT$10.21-10.61 billion (US$342.42-355.84 million) in the second quarter, while its New HTC One orders are expected to reach 2.3-2.4 million units in the second quarter, the sources added.
