針對Android平台代工技術授權，富士康母公司鴻海近期與微軟簽署專利授權，未來將用於旗下代工製作的Android平台裝置，以及Chrome OS平台產品，同時目前微軟此項技術授權將提供全球超過40%以上的消費電子產品製造商使用。

根據稍早微軟所宣布消息，將提供旗下技術授權給予富士康母公司鴻海使用，未來將可用於所代工製作的Android平台裝置 (包含手機、平板與電視相關產品)，以及Chrome OS平台產品。微軟方面將因此次授權獲得鴻海所支付的專利授權費，同時目前全球也將有40%以上的消費電子產品製造商使用微軟提供技術授權。

微軟在2010年間開始針對Android平台提出技術專利侵權告訴，後續則與包含HTC、三星、LG、宏碁與Barnes & Noble達成技術交叉授權協議，並且由製造商支付專利授權費用予微軟。而先前在2009年便開始協助代工Android裝置的鴻海旗下富士康，在此予微軟達成技術專利授權後，也將能免於專利侵權爭議。
