國道計程收費吵得沸沸揚揚，確切方案尚未出爐，不過交通部長葉匡時昨(30)天接受節目專訪時表示，「未來遇特殊假日，國道可能取消免費制度」。

葉匡時說，計程收費是運輸管理上的有利工具，未來更將進一步提出分區、分時費率，意即車輛多路段收費較高，尖峰相較於離峰的收費也會提高，葉也說，「遇連續假日可能取消免收費」。

橫向國道方面，葉匡時說，未來橫向仍可繼續免收費，但國道5號被認定是縱向國道，計程收費後也須收費，橫向國道預計以2年的觀察期間，再研議是否收費。
